About Presets & Privacy
Presets store your calculator inputs to make repeat shots faster. Presets saved to this server are minimal JSON objects (calculator type, name, timestamp, and the input values). We do not collect extra personal information; if you include contact info in a preset name please be aware it will be visible in the preset metadata. For privacy details see our Privacy Policy.
If you prefer local-only storage, use the in-browser save/load buttons which keep presets in localStorage and never leave your device.
How to Share & Verify Presets
A shared preset contains the exact inputs used to compute a recommendation (distance, elevation, wind speed & clock, lie %, and club full yardage). Use shared presets to reproduce test cases in replay mode. When sharing, include a short verification note in the preset name (for example: "150 yd, +12 ft, 10 mph @ 2 o'clock — replay 00:12:34").
Preset Best Practices
- Keep names concise and include a reproducible note for debugging.
- Use server-saved presets for permanent shareable links; use local saves for private experimentation.
- Before posting presets publicly, remove any personal info from the name or description.
Troubleshooting
If a preset fails to load, click "View JSON" to inspect the raw object. Common issues are rare but include malformed JSON or older field names. When reporting issues, include the preset ID and a short reproduction recipe so we can investigate quickly.
